Kerala’s Tourism Board in partnership with NGOs has constructed a floating wetland park in the backwaters of Alappuzha. Built on bamboo platforms, the park features native wetland vegetation, fish nurseries, and boardwalks for eco-tourism. Water quality and biodiversity have improved since project inception. School groups visit for environmental education, and local artisans sell crafts on floating stalls. Plans include two more sites near Kollam and Kochi.
